Did you know that International Femme Appreciation Day is celebrated annually on the first Saturday in July? In our humble opinion hanging with Femmes is the best way to celebrate, so we are planning another potluck party this year dedicated to celebrating Femmes and all they do for our community!
Come and join us for Femme Fest 2026 on July 5th, 2:30-5:30 at Forest Hill Park, Picnic Shelter 1 if you are a Femme, support Femmes or just want to celebrate the concept of Femme identity (not just as a descriptor for all feminine queer folks, but as a historical identity rooted in working class communities)!
We will have a live harp performance and demos by @eringoharp, yard games, a femme portrait booth, a stamping station, drinks + snacks, selected books and readings on the identity of Femme, and of course all of the hottest Fem/mes this side of the Mississippi ;)
Bring a dish (no glass containers pls), bring a game, bring a date, bring a kid or fur kid- just know this day is for celebrating ALL of our Femme community, and we will not accept transphobia, lesbophobia, femmephobia, racism, etc at this event. We also welcome all partners and supporters of femmes- just don't bring anyone you don't trust to uphold these values.
Wanting a day for celebrating those of us on the Stud, Masc or Butch side of life? Mark your calendars for the weekend after August 18th and get ready for Butch Fest 2026
