Be Inspired at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden

We’re number two and proud of it! Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden was recently voted the second best public garden in North America by USA Today readers. Yes, RVA’s own botanical garden is gaining international recognition, right here in our community for all to enjoy. We’re humbled to be recognized and excited to be part of the vibrant RVA scene.

The garden includes what you may expect of a world-class botanical garden: 50 acres of lush landscapes; a glittering glass conservator; two restaurants and a garden shop.

What may surprise you are: art exhibits; carnivorous pitcher plants (oh my!); a wheelchair accessible tree house; year-round beauty; and a calendar full of events, including live music, outdoor wine and dining; and the wildly popular Dominion GardenFest of Lights holiday light show.

As much as we’re focused on plants, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is also about people. We’re passionate about bringing the two together to improve our community. For many, the garden is their “go-to” place. It’s common ground - a place to relax, to learn, to be inspired.
