Why do you love Richmond?
I love Richmond because it has the offerings of a larger metropolis with the comforts of a small-town community.
What’s your favorite thing to do in Richmond?
I'm a big fan of engaging in all the visual and performing arts that RVA has to offer. I'm particularly fond of attending performances at CenterStage's venues around town. I also like tubing down the James River and walking through Maymont Park.
What do you do here?
I'm a recovering attorney turned small business owner (serial entrepreneur). I'm also a leader in the LGBT business community.
What’s your favorite restaurant?
I've always been a fan of Balliceaux. The food is great, the drinks are awesome and the atmosphere can't be beat.
What would you tell somebody who has never been to Richmond before?
Don't form an opinion of Richmond until you see it for yourself. I bet it's not what you think.
What's your favorite store?
Mongrel in Carytown. They have the coolest stuff there!
How do you spend your free time?
I like to spend time dining on patios, enjoying the outdoors and taking advantage of the great weather that this region offers.
What's your favorite neighborhood?
The Fan, though Churchill is a close second.
How do you describe your community?
Eclectic and unique. My community does not fit into any box, and that's just fine by me.
Anything else you would like to add?
This city successfully unites its rich with history with a modern sensibility that almost anyone can find attractive.
