Traveling with pets can be a challenge, but these Richmond attractions, hotels and restaurants can make your trip a barking good time.

Quirk Hotel

Richmond's newest boutique hotel prides itself on being pet-friendly.  For a small fee, of course, guests can room with their furry friend.  The Richmond SPCA also has a generous list of friendly hotels.

Chimborazo Dog Park

Get on over to Church Hill and walk the sidewalks of this historic neighborhood have some Proper Pie and picnic across the street at Patrick Henry Park, then scoot to Bark Park on the lower level of Chimborazo Park.  There are areas for both small and large dogs with shade, water access, and seating for mom and dad.

Dining for the Dogs

Richmond's food scene is so hot right now and so are the patios.  Dine al fresco and taste some of the city's best coffee at Lamplighter or have a sandwich at Alamo BBQ.  For other patio locations, check out PatioPups.

Stoney Pointe Fashion Park

This mall on the south side of Richmond is great for a walk with your pup.  Shop Saks Fifth Avenue, Brooks Brothers, Anthropologie, and more.  Many of the stores have stickers designating them as dog-friendly and there are waste bag stations and grassy areas to take care of business.  Check out Fido Park Avenue to keep your pet stylish and Abbella Cakes for a tasty treat.

Scott's Addition

Richmond's brewery haven has plenty of spots for Spot.  Although you can't take your pooch inside production facilities, there are plenty of courtyards perfect for a hangout.  Check out Blue Bee Cider that was once the site or the city's horse stables.  Ardent Craft Ales has a beer garden that is bustling day or night and The Veil Brewing Co. has plenty of outdoor space.
