The Gay Agenda: Richmond’s 2025 Pride Month Highlights

Richmond is bursting with Pride this June, offering an array of events that celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. From art installations to community festivals, here are some standout happenings you won't want to miss:

Dine Out For Pride (June 1–8)

Support the LGBTQ+ community by dining at participating Richmond restaurants during this week-long event. Each signature dish sold contributes $1 to VA Pride and the OutRVA campaign.

Euphoria Hour: A Trans & Non-binary Pride Month Kick-Off (June 4)

Join the trans and non-binary community and allies at Devil's Lettuce from 5–7 PM for vegan comfort food and camaraderie. This sober-space event also features a little free library with trans, queer, and anti-racist literature.

Big GAY PRIDE Market @ Diversity Richmond (June 8)

Shop with and support 70 LGBTQ+ makers and artists at this Pride Month market. Enjoy live music by Jaycie Cuprill, drag performances, a Big GAY Raffle, and food from local vendors. Mutual aid organizations will also be present.

Pride LitCon (June 14)

Attend this LGBTQ+ book fair at the Acca Shriners' Center from 10 AM to 4 PM. Meet authors of LGBT stories, purchase books, pick up swag, and get items signed.

Pride on Forest Hill (June 14)

Celebrate Pride in South Richmond with a day-long event featuring an artist market at Thirsty's from noon to 5 PM, followed by a community picnic in Forest Hill Park. Festivities continue back at Thirsty's into the evening.

Official Pride Bar Crawl (June 14)

Join the 2025 Official Pride Bar Crawl in Richmond for a day and night filled with fun drinks and a fabulous community. The event runs from 3 PM to 11 PM.

Stonewall on Stonewall (June 28)

Commemorate the anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising with a mini-street festival and parade in South Richmond. This event honors the roots of the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement.

Looking for accommodations? Check out "The Gayest Room Ever" at Quirk Hotel, a collaboration between Virginia Pride, artist Scott Csoke, and Quirk Hotel. This room is adorned with art from local LGBTQ+ artists and pieces reflecting Richmond's queer history.

Endless Summer of Pride

VA Pridefest 2025

Mark your calendars for Virginia's largest LGBTQ+ celebration as VA Pridefest returns on Saturday, September 27, at Midtown Green (formerly Bon Secours Training Center). This free, all-day festival features live music, local vendors, food trucks, and community organizations. It's a cornerstone event for Pride in the Commonwealth.
